About Insolvency Management

Insolvency Management is an independent company built by an experienced team of insolvency practitioners who, collectively, have over 85 years of experience to date. Insolvency Management has undertaken over 1,200 insolvency assignments since its incorporation in 1998.

In 2010/2011 year, more than 4,000 New Zealand businesses hit serious financial strife and were put into liquidation. While the vast majority of liquidations are fairly straightforward involving small and medium-sized businesses, some are rather more complex.

Our team consisting of insolvency, legal and accounting professionals, bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our practice. The nature of the investigation of the financial transactions, trading and contracts that insolvency practitioners must analyse and interpret requires knowledge and experience.

Insolvency Management differs from most other practitioners in that all our staff specialise in this area and are solely focused on insolvency cases. Being totally independent you can trust our integrity and advice and your confidentiality and security is assured. We operate an independently audited trust account plus a web based information system so we can access our information about all our files remotely but securely at any time.

We have offices in Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin, thus our staff are able to handle cases throughout New Zealand.

One of the hardest decisions a business owner must make is when to shut the company’s doors. Often the owner’s identity is meshed with the enterprise and the closing of their company can be the effective end of that chapter of their life. In our experience if directors were to address the problems at an earlier stage they might be surprised at the options available.

If you know someone who feels as if their business has slipped from their control but they keep trading because they do not know what else to do, then they may need independent, professional advice. This can be a particularly stressful time and it is sometimes a difficult task to even begin the process of asking for help. We are here to help, we are approachable, we are experienced, we can assess your business, we can explain your options to you in plain English – and your first consultation with us is free of charge.

Please contact us via our website or telephone - we can come to you or you can call in for a chat at our offices, your confidentiality is assured.
